INDIAN MASTER CHEF FOR ONE OF THE WORLD’S LARGEST SUPER LUXURY YACHT- UNITED KINGDOM/BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS/ CARIBBEAN

This role is open to Indian nationals who are currently working as Sous Chef/ Senior Sous Chef/ Chef de Cuisine/ Master Chef handling Indian Cuisine working with luxury Indian/ International hotels groups or Luxury/ Michelin Indian restaurants.

CTC is open for discussion and is commensurate to experience as per current/ best industry levels.
Salary in EUROS – Indicative Salary INR 4 LACS Per Month + BOARDING & LODGING & BENEFITS AS BELOW
The Company shall provide the Employee with uniforms, bed linen and towels, which shall remain the property of the Company.

Employee shall always live aboard during the term of his/her employment unless otherwise approved by the Company.

There are no regular working hours associated with employment. That shall be required to work such hours aboard the Yacht and at any port of call, as are reasonably necessary for the proper performance of his/her duties, which may include but not limited to nights, weekends and bank, public or statutory holidays.

Provision will be made for a minimum of 10 hours rest in any 24 hours and 77 hours in any seven days. The rest periods may not be divided into more than 2 periods, of which one should be at least 6 hours.

This can be deviated from at the Captain’s discretion in an emergency.

If the owner or guests of the Yacht are on board, the Employee’s working hours will be extended (without extra pay) as needed to provide the required level of service and safety on board.

Before joining a vessel, the Employee needs to present the below documentation (in brackets time of carrying out the tests and receiving the certificate.) Assistance will be provided for the below.
Medical Fitness Certificate/ENG1 (One working day) – This seafarers medical fitness certificate must be renewed every two years.
Passport & Discharge book
Valid visa, if required.
STCW certificates and Proficiency in Security Awareness. This is a 5 day course and covers four separate MCA accredited courses:
Personal Survival Techniques
Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
Elementary First Aid
Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.
Police clearance certificate from your country of residence
Any relevant certification for your position (Food Hygiene Certificate, Food Safety in Catering (Level 2)
Proof of vaccinations – ideally, you would be vaccinated for Yellow Fever, Typhoid, Tetanus, Hep A & B/ Twinrix
Ships Cook Certificate – It is now (as of August 7th 2014) a requirement for all Chef/Cooks onboard charter yachts only with 10 crew or more to have an MCA Ship’s Cook Certificated member of crew on board at all times. This is because of changes in the law brought about by the Maritime Labour Convention – MLC 2006).
